There’s something fascinatingly ordinary about this Sydney regional architectural style. It makes me think of the SF I watched as a kid, and of my friends’ houses in the newer suburbs in Brisbane’s north.
Have you checked out Martin’s Canberra House blog? It’s six kinds of fabulous. And I’ve been to that little village, an there’s something quite grounded about it.

I’m also kind of getting interested in what I’ve heard described as ‘brutalism’ – huge slabs of concrete. Very late 70s, 80s. Very ugly. But interesting.
